In the year since Alexei Navalny’s death, his most important legacy, the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), has been rocked by scandal and criticism. It was once the most influential and powerful organization in the Russian opposition, which the regime started to destroy in the wake of Navalny’s return to Russia in 2021 — possibly aiming to bring the homefront to heel in preparation for the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
