On July 27, Iran-backed Hezbollah launched a rocket from southern Lebanon – part of the militia’s near-constant bombardment of northern Israel since Oct. 8, 2023 – striking a soccer field on the Golan Heights and killing 12 Druze children and wounding dozens more. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised a “harsh” response.
