But during his turn at The Spectator’s Parliamentarian of the Year awards, Robert Buckland ended by declaring war on his successor as justice secretary, Dominic Raab: “I’m going to pursue, as always, the causes that are dear to me ... and I’m going to, my friends, re-engage in the battle to ensure that our constitutional law is truly in the right place, and that the Bill of Rights is buried.”
