The relationships between NATO and Russia have slid into a New Cold War, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a panel discussion during the Munich Security Conference, describing NATO's policy as 'unfriendly and not transparent.'
DMITRY MEDVEDEV: NATO relations towards Russia remain close and unfriendly. In stronger words, we've reached the level of a 'New Cold War.' And Mr. Stoltenberg highlighted that. Sometimes I wonder whether we live in 2016 or 1962.
The West is actively using the containment doctrine against Russia. The danger of such an approach is that we would discuss the same problems again in 10 or 20 years if, of course, there'd be anything to discuss when a world caliphate renders these talks irrelevant.
