No. 10 Sachin Tendulkar
India isn't known for producing great athletic talents. In fact, the world's second most populous nation just produced its first individual gold medal in last year's Beijing Olympics. But India has a proud tradition in cricket and Tendulkar has been its standard bearer since his debut 20 years ago at the age of 16. The Mumbai-native is generally considered the greatest batsman in the history of the sport. He holds numerous world cricket records and last year, he was given the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian award.
