The world's highest paid soccer player just signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid worth over $160 million. This coming after his transfer from Manchester United to Real for a record $123 million fee. The Portuguese captain and the reigning FIFA World Footballer of the Year had played for United the past six years, leading the club to back-to-back Champions League finals, winning it in 2008. He also captained United to three straight English Premier League titles from 2007-09, including a career-best 42-goal campaign in the 2007-08 season.
