Middle East peace talks off to a rough start
Well, they're off to a good start aren't they:
Abbas stressed that he would not make any concessions to Israel.â??If they demand concessions on the rights of the refugees or the 1967 borders, I will quit. I canâ??t allow myself to make even one concession,â? he said.
We also had Israel's foreign minister proclaiming that a peace deal was not possible "in a generation" let alone a year.
You could chalk this up to posturing, but given the long odds that already attend this particular effort, I'm not so sure.
